The Fortress Programming Language →
The Fortress Programming Language is an interesting Sun project that I thought I might link to. One of the creators is the venerable Dr. Guy L. Steele, who has greatly contributed to the design of my favorite programming languages (Common Lisp and Scheme).
Fortress has innovative abstractions for parallelism and concurrency, and I have to say, the syntax is very tasteful. But I digress; much of what I’d say is provided in the draft spec, which I’ve linked to here
